Exploring the upper west coast
This summer we explored the upper West coast. Stunning! Honestly the best word for it. We were lucky enough to have possibly the best weather in the country too. The only downside is the sandflies!
Castle hill Adventures
Castle Hill (Kura Tāwhiti) is a favourite of ours to play and explore. We’ve been a few times now and every time we find something new. This time we headed there after a failed attempt at getting Benny up skiing at Porters Pass.
Kaiteriteri loving
When we joined up the NZMCA I found out that one of the campgrounds in Kaiteriteri charges $130 for a weeks accommodation in a powered campsite with Wifi in the off season. As soon as I saw that I knew I wanted to holiday there sometime! It took about six months til we could make it happen, but back in April we spent ten days there.
Lupin hunting
I have caught the tail end of the lupins in the Mackenzie country a few times unintentionally, but this year I wanted to see them in their peak! The photos say more than my words ever could, so check them out!
Southland Roadie pt2
While this was our first caravan trip away it definitely wont be our last. We learned a lot, tried some things that worked and others that didn’t. I think the biggest learning though was to move slower!
